Entropy Wave

Entropy Wave Media SDK

The Entropy Wave Media SDK is development platform for ISVs and embedded developers who want to harness the power of the GStreamer media framework and related open source technologies. Entropy Wave has collected all the necessary open source packages for a full-featured media platform and keeps track of updates and important bug fixes, and provides the collection in one easy to use package.

Benefits

Cost and Time To Market. We estimate that it takes more than a month for an experienced developer to collect, compile, apply bug fixes, and develop a maintainable build system for GStreamer and plugins. And then there is periodic updating and maintenence. Entropy Wave takes care of all of this, leaving you free to develop your application.

Decreased support costs. A common platform allows people answering your support questions to quickly know what versions of open source packages you are using. Since the platform is expertly maintained, common mistakes caused in the build process are avoided.

“Fixed in newest release, please upgrade.” Never again will you have to fear these words — upgrading to a new release is easy because we’ve done the hard work. In addition, we strive to make it easy to use multiple versions of the SDK simultaneously — for example, a “known good” baseline version used for application development, and a second experimental version used for checking new features and bug fixes.

Multiple Platform Support. The Entropy Wave Media SDK is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS/X.
